The text installer > and the bootable AI image are both in the works now. It makes sense not to do a SPARC live CD. Anyone wanting to run Open Solaris on SPARC can always find a way :-). IMO not having some way to do a rescue is a bit of a problem unless you have more than one machine, likely true for most if not all SPARC users.
