If the package doesn't specify its dependencies correctly, then it's a bug in the package. In this particular case, it looks like no Java dependency was specified. So, IPS didn't "forget"; it wasn't asked to install Java :) I'd suggest filing a bug at defect.opensolaris.org under packaging. Cheers, -- Shawn Walker
