Hello,

"Hypothetical" situation:

Given a system with a base install of 2009.06, I add an additional
publisher for ipkg.sfbay/support in order to install, say, SRU1. So 'pkg
publisher' shows this:

opensolaris.org (preferred) origin online
http://pkg.opensolaris.org/release/
support origin online
http://ipkg.sfbay/support

I install SRU1.

I now delete the 'support' publisher and hand the system over to someone
else to administer.

At some point that person wants to update to a newer SRU. Am I correct
in understanding that they will have to re-add a publisher called
'support' (actual URL irrelevant) before they are able to perform the
update?

Also, is there any other way, other than say querying the 'entire'
package to look for the previously used publisher, that they would know
to use this specific name for their publisher?

For ex.:

root at opensolaris:~# pkg contents -o name, value entire
NAME VALUE
description entire incorporation including Support Repository Update
(SRU 1). For more information see
http://sunsolve.sun.com/show.do?target=opensolaris
fmri pkg://support/entire at 0.5.11,5.11-0.111.1:20090623T232524Z
publisher support
variant.arch ['sparc', 'i386']

Thanks,

--Jens
