Yes - the recommended way of doing it is to use the "usbcopy" script which is included in the Distro constructor package (SUNWdiscont). Unfortunately this requires an installed OpenSolaris system to run - doh! The Windows-based tool at http://devzone.sites.pid0.org/OpenSolaris/opensolaris-liveusb-creator obviously works for the author, but I couldn't get it to boot my USB memory stick.
