Hi Frank,

I assume you installed using AI bootable media ?
You might be hitting known issue if you used default AI manifest
for the installation (2nd Grub menu entry).
Default AI manifest located on media points to the 'release'
IPS repository, so 2009.06 was installed. ZFS root pool created
during installation is too new which 2009.06 GRUB can't read.

You need to install using customized manifest (1st GRUB
entry) - change the IPS repo to the 'dev' one.
