Hi, It's enough to have the the two SUNWlang-xx packages installed. I don't know what the IIIMF-xxx packages are used to but I don't have them installed and I have several languages set up installed.
I'm not sure if you just can remove them. I'm new here. I've used Solaris for years and two weeks ago I installed opensolaris 2009.06 on a Sun Blade 1500 sparc using AI and and Live x86 cd on a Dell laptop. Working fine at both sites, but I have no Available Engine in the Input Input Method (where to set the keyboard) at the sparc site. Hope it helps you.
