Kyle and Shawn:

The following pointer is how to create custom manifest off AI iso, Keith also send the same pointer and you don't need to setup an AI server to do this:

I'm using the b134 AI ISO that I downloaded, with the default manifest

in it?
The AI ISOs are created with the assumption that you'll be installing
from the /release repository. However, due to the delay in the official
build release, 134+ hasn't yet been put there, and so you must use the
/dev repository.

ahh.

Are you saying I should edit the manifest in the ISO, and burn a new CD?
No; you should be able to supply a new manifest on the AI server that
points at the repository you really want.
Ok. I haven't setup a AI server yet, I need a OS install to do it on.
I thought I had read way back when it came out that the CD will work
without a server (and I guess It's supposed to work that way once
relased.) so I just popped the media in.

I don't know what those exact
steps are, but this question has been asked before, so I assume you'll
find it in the documentation or the mailing list archives. Perhaps on
the project documentation page here:

   http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Project+caiman/AI_Documentation

yes I've been reading through that. One of the first steps to setting up
a server is to install it - usually using the AI media.

As Keith suggested, I think I'll copy the manifest off, edit it, and put
it on one of the web servers we have around, then enter that URL when
prompted.

Kinda surprised that nothing complained in the log about the version
mismatch though.

Thanks for the help on this one.
