I posted this in the help forum as well.
I've tried and failed to upgrade from 2009.06 to 134 and have tested on a few
systems, including two fresh installs on VB. The repositories are there and the
downloads complete. The error is a python error during the install phase.
Anyone got a fix or workaround other than a clean install? Here's the error
using the update manager (similar error from the command line with
image-update):

What does 'zpool status' say? Have you tried a zfs scrub on the system
in question? Have you run a utility to verify that the memory is
working as expected?
