I'm using a x86 machine, assuming you are too. You need to copy the contents of the tar.gz to /usr/lib/firefox
so say I extracted the .tar.gz to a folder: /home/chris/Downloads/firefox pfexec cp /home/chris/Downloads/firefox /usr/lib/firefox You can also try the Firefox 4 beta4<http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-4.0b4&os=opensolaris-i386&lang=en-US>. However, I would run that in a separate folder. I'm not impressed with the user interface right now, but I don't like change! -Chris On Sun, Sep 12, 2010 at 6:21 AM, Clive Meredith <[email protected]>wrote: > Hi guys - Some while ago I succesfully installed 3.6.1 but have forgotten > the copy command to do this ;-( > > I have the 3.6.9 tar extracted, but need the copy command from the root > command line to the appropriate folder please. > > Thanks in advance. > -- > This message posted from opensolaris.org > _______________________________________________ > install-discuss mailing list > [email protected] > http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/install-discuss >
