Hi all, I hope this is the right board. I have a Solaris box with an old version of Java and want to install the latest. The instructions say to download a file called jre-6u24-solaris-sparcv9.sh which I have done.
I have then place this in a directory called /usr/jdk/instances/jdk1.5.0/jre-6u24 and It says I simply need to run this file. I have tried running the file with and without ./ front of it, but get permission denied (copied below). I am also logged in as root. Could anyone please tell me wht I need to do.
