You can simply edit this file and change the url or just run the startup.bat script in tomcat/bin, then manually connect to http://localhost:9090/jahia/Jahia

What do you mean by "Jahia tries to connect on port 8080"? Jahia runs within the Tomcat instance, so whatever port Jahia runs on is actually where Tomcat runs on. In your case, if you use http://localhost:9090/jahia you should see Jahia running.
