Hi Rutger,

I'm not sure this is possible with Jahia. The JahiaUserManagerLDAPProvider would have to be extended to be able to provide for multiple container configuration.

Hi,

While evaluating JAHIA i have a question regarding LDAP.
I've tested JAHIA against OpenLDAP, Sun One Directory and Novell NDS.
Every time i managed to connect succesfully to the LDAP database. But
my problem is that i don't want one container to store all my
Jahia/portal users in.

Let's say i've got a directory with several containers which contain
users. I don't want to add those users in the container configured in
the Jahia users.ldap configuration file also. Doing that results in
losing the power of my directory.

So i can configure a group that also displays members outside of the
"users.ldap.uid.search.name" but Jahia only authenticates users
configured within that context. But i also want to authenticate the
members of a group that are outside of the users.ldap.uid.search.name
directory also.

Now i've managed to let Jahia display those users within the groups,
but it won't authenticate them.

Do you understand my problem?
If so, can this be solved or configured at this time?

Thank you in advanced for your effort.
