Jahia 4.0.6 was not tested with Tomcat 5.5.9, so it is not surprising
you are experiencing problems. Our policy is generally not to change a
major Tomcat version when updating a stable branch. 5.5.9 is VERY
different from 4.1.31 so we decided that only newer branches of Jahia
would be tested against it. That of course is our policy designed for
support, but doesn't mean you can't get it to work, but as even the
developers of Jahia haven't tested it you're taking a risk :)
My guess would be that there is probably something wrong with the setup
of Tomcat. Did you follow all the steps described here :
http://www.jahia.org/jahia/Jahia/devzone/pid/454#16 ? What does you
context setup look like.
The NPE you have here below is probably due to an error starting the
database. Did you have errors before this one ?
