the first script (varchar_changes.sql) reduce the size of some fields to prevents problems occuring if you want to migrate to mysql 4.1 . If you stay with mysql 3.23, you don't need to apply the script (but it should not harm either, so you can still apply it if you plan on upgrading later to a new version of mysql).

The second script extends the maximum lenght of some integer fields (mediumint_to_integer.sql), this one make also sense if applied to Mysql 3.23, and should not normally pose problems (unless it has not been tested with mysql 3.23.x).

I'm using jahia 4.05 with Mysql 3.23.58  , and I want to updrade to 4.06.
 
in the jahia Upgrade 4.0.6_01 README file, there is a warning about Mysql and 2 scripts to execute . Do you know if I have to execute these scripts on my database ( 3.23.58  ) ?
