Of course I can ask the real object support but I also want to know if someone else has succefully used all the webdav features with Jahia.
Looks like this is just about something to configure in the edit-on pro editor, isnt'it? If it can connect to any DAV compliant server, I do not see why their client could not connect to the Jahia DAV server (as this perfectly work with the MS WebFolders, DAVExplorer, WebDrive or Xythos Drive)....
For a couple of years I have tried edit on pro with Jahia and there is usually always a version mismatch (no working integration or lack of documentation for the latest jahia and latest edit on pro version). I am usually doing this for some customers purpose.
Yes... because this is clearly not the default Jahia WYSIWYG editor... Edit-on-Pro is, let's say, quite expensive and not really open source! As you mentionned in your previous email, we are now trying to work on better integrating the FCK editor so that you can directly select links from a Jahia sitemap or files from the DAV repository. But this (especially the sitemap connector) is custom code and the idea is not to duplicate and test it with dozens of different editors....So then it is up to the community to support the evolution of such or such editor (including ourselves if one of our customers ask us to test the latest release of such or such editor of course).
I fully understand why but I also think there is a possibility that some Jahia customer/user/integrator tries every new combination.
Feel free to contribute ;-)
(I am sure the Real Object folks will tell me that it is a jahia problem)
Certainly, certainly :-(
Cheers,
Stéphane
