We have a created a large site using jahia 4.0.6.
The pages were initially created without problems.
At some point someone modified some navigation links
with the built-in update function so that instead of
pointing to internal pages, they referred to external pages,
but using a valid jahia path.

As a result the navigation works but anything in this part
of the site is not in the site map.

While reproducing this on a separate test site,
I managed to "unlink" a page and since I neglected to note its pid,
I have essentially lost the original page.
I changed a page from referring to a simple template to referring to
www.google.com I was unable to backout of this change using versioning.

In anther test I made note of the pid - but in this case the update function
only allows me to refer to the jahia page as external - I can never restore
the page to its original since it has disappeared from the list of pages to
move.

So finally to my questions:
1. Have I overlooked something in the UI that will let me locate and restore
pages unlinked in this way. (these look like pages without parents)

2. Alternatively what query to use in the database to locate pages without
parents and then what database insert/update can be done to manually repair
these.

regards
George.
