[Instiki] Instiki, Instiki-AR, i2 -- concise explanation?

I'm using original Instiki for some lightweight ad-hoc projects, and have been very happy with it.
Can anyone provide, or point me to, a brief explanation of what Instiki-AR and i2 are, and why they exist?
