I think this is a reasonable suggestion and very much inline with where we were going in the draft. The one thing that keeps on dropping from the conversation is that this draft is only applicable in a very specialised set of deployments in the broadband edge.
Possibly a vendor message for the DSLForum would be a very neat way to handle this request, with appropriate review from the working group.
