Yep and in terms of the major implimentors in DSL, Cisco, Redback and
Hauwei and Juniper have spoke up here and said they are supportive of
implement this function in the BRAS.
Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia-Siemens and Thomoson Telecom (and the service
providers France Telecom,Telecom Italia and Portugal Telecom) have
posted a document in the DSLForum that extends the current requirement
list and shows how the new requirements can be met with DHCP
Authentication. This certainly indicates they are probably be thinking
of implementing this function in the BRAS.
