I am writing to bring Bugzilla #221729 to your attention (reported there
in 2026-07-06 19:39), as it describes a logic bug in
e1000_read_nvm_spt() that can cause silent shadow RAM corruption on SPT+
PCH chips.
A fix for this was recently submitted to the intel-wired-lan list by Ivy
Lopez. I wanted to ensure the Bugzilla ticket is linked to this
discussion for tracking purposes.
