dude when u start the installation it will ask where to install ...

first insert the DVD and boot the system

now a message will come asking u whether to boot for cd or not ..press
"Enter"
now the setup will start ...
then you will get an option like upgrade or install a clean copy of
the OS
click install clean copy ...
then u will get a window with all partitions of ur hard disk ..
(make sure that u have more than 1 partion )
now select the drive where u want to install ( select the drive other
than where u have installed vista ..)...
it will ask  that everything in that particular file will be
deleted ... ( so make sure that u have taken backup of all the items
which is important to u )
then press yes ... thats all windows 7 will get installed ...
