i run a toshiba satellite, core 2 duo, 1.74 ghz
(systemrequirementslab.com clocks it at 3.47 ghz)( only for multi
threaded games)
2gig ram, and the 945 intel express 950gpu. current driver is 1713. i
run windows 7 ultimate (RC 7100)
i have tried to overclock this thing several times with no prevail. i
have also used multiple os. xp black, vista and 7. but a few good
tools that i have come across that have helped with my gaming
experience is ashampoo core tuner, 3d analyze, swiftshader, game gain
and game accelerator. not all at the same time of course, but i always
use the backwards compatibility feature. current games i am able to
run include all current battlefields, including battlefield 2. but
with only 25fps. time shift, farcry, halo 1 and 2. oldblivion, crysis
warhead, the orange box (low settings though, my laptop hates the
game) and all current c&c games. but ever since i switched to windows
7 everything i play does have better performance than it did on
vista.
i thought about getting a modded intel driver but since the 1713 came
out less than a week ago i have had no problems.
