before someone says anything i have looked around the forum for
answers but i keep coming up with everything i am not looking for. i
have a toshiba satellite A205-S4607. intel core 2 duo (i945gm express
chipset) 1.74GHz. 2gb ddr2 ram. i have it set to dual boot both
windows xp sp3 and windows 7 RC7100. in win 7 it has the 1713 driver
and in xp an old 14 series driver (cant remember the modle off the top
of my head. but what i am doing is using xp for gaming and win 7 for
business. and i want to use a modded driver so i can play games like
cod2 and a few others. i can load them up but i have very poor fps. i
have faster fps with battlefield 2 than i do with some of these other
games. the version of xp i am using is win xp black edition 31 final.
so it comes with programs like cpu-z and gpu-z and many others pre
installed. along with a ton of tweaks, but nothing to improve gaming.
but i am also wondering if by having a modded driver if it will
interfare with my system bios regarding win7 (doubtful) and what would
be the steps be to go about installing. im more familure with fixing
pc's and laptops than i am with the extra tweaking. i have also tried
to download the files in the files section and they always break just
a few kb before they finish and upon trying to open winrar says that
the files are corrupt. i do not want to overclock my laptop because it
generates enough heat the way it is already. i am also trying to get
timeshift, tom clancys double agent and supreme commander working so
if anyone has a few tips about them that would be great.
