I just ordered a new desktop pc, it will arrive on monday, from time to time I tought about getting a laptop, but since I have always had bad experiences with laps, even with others laps may I say, I've decided to simply stick to desktops for gaming.
All those tales about laptop's graphic chipsets being inferior to their desktop counterparts make me doubt even about getting those with nvidia 9800 gs chipsets, same for my budget. Anyway, billy b, I'm glad for you bro, enjoy your new machine! Well now that we're on that I'll post my new gear: -Triple core processor: AMD Phenom II X3 710, 2.6GHz -MOBO: Gigabyte GA-MA780G-UD3H, ChipSet AMD 780G (up to 16gb of RAM) -Kingston DDR2, PC2-6400 (800Mhz),CL6, 2GB (I'll see if I can get 4gb @1200 sticks later) -Western Digital 500 GB hard drive, 7200 RPM, 16MB Buffer, SATA II -ECS NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250, 1GB DDR3 (256bit) -CoolerMaster Centurion 534 + Plus -Powersource Pixxo Jaguar PW Series 600 watts All for $10,290 mexican pesos which is much less than $1,000 dollars. And I'll keep my good old DELL just in case this new pc blows to hell.
