No ofense man. First I didn't hit the $1000 dlls. top, and didn't include a monitor because mine's still working, I saved up some of the budget for further investments.
All the gear came up costing about $666 dollars or $10,290 pesos at a mexican rate change of $15p x $1 dollar. If I would have made an Intel build to get a decent Core 2 Duo it would have been about $80 dlls more for a E8400 @3 Ghz per core costing $3000p contrasted to the Phenom X3 I got which runs @ 2.6 per core giving 7.8 Ghz for $2200p against only 6ghz from the Intel cpu. Add to this that Intel 1366 socket motherboards are way too expensive. Second I really don't feel like overclocking anything since repair costs here are very high and almost all buds that claim to repair pc's are negligent and unprepared to even change cellphones batteries. I'd rather jump to a Phenom X4 940 than frying the whole machine.
