Demonoid is one of the largest torrent websites on the Internet. It's semi-public because occasionally they open registration to the public, but at the moment registration is private so you need to be invited to join by one of the existing members. You can use it to download games, applications, music, films, etc. If you've never used BitTorrent before you need to download a client such as uTorrent to be able to open the torrent files you download. Data is transferred via the BitTorrent protocol (P2P, everyone downloading contributes to one and other by uploading data they've downloaded). Be careful though, most of the downloads are illegal.
