yup, that's the only reason y some games run better in XP than Vista,
Vista SuperFetch Service a very problematic for ALL Games..but in
win7,it improve the performance of new games such as FEAR, Killing
Floor and etc bot not with older games....

hmm, not sure but i had no problem with unstable framerates with that
option set to high..guess not only openGL coz even the texture
compression option effects nfs:underground 2 (make it run with ugly
texture but with a performance boost)..who knows...i've read it b4 i
join this group that changing the option there will also effects
DirectX apps...back then i was on XP..but the setting still works for
me in win7 now...
