I, like many others was tired of the poor performance of the 950GMA. I
did many google searches for methods on how to do so. I also did many
tests myself.

I tried different operating systems. I used World of Warcraft as my
benchmark tool (not that great of a choice). With my testing I learned
that Windows XP offered better performance but I couldn't quite
understand why.

A few more searches later I came across a post in Spanish. When
translated, it gave me a link to this Google Group page. I read some
posts and was instantly excited about this "Modded Driver".

Once I installed the modded driver in Vista, I noticed games running
better then ever, even some games that didn't run before showed signs
of life. I was later questioning about a XP driver.

While work on a XP driver was underway, I was working on my own
version of such a driver. My driver didn't seem to offer much
performance but it did have GL support. Of course today there is
OpenGL support on modded XP drivers now though.

I recently started to test out the 950GMA in Macbooks. I noticed that
in macbooks, this card offered more. It was like the macbook had a
driver similar to the modded drivers for Vista or Windows 7.

Being in this group helped me learn some things about graphics cards
that I never knew before. It showed me that the 950GMA has more to
offer then what Intel showed.
