Well, I have steadily (well in one jump...) upgraded my 2007 HP Slimline from the 945gt to an ATi 4650 (new PSU, too).
But yeah... only people who dedicate a great deal of their income/parents pay for it all, can afford to buy new i7/Phenom II CPU along with 4xxx/5xxx/2xx GPU cards... and the assorted hardware to hold and run it!
