Ok I did four things and it seems to have reduced the amount of tearing
dramatically but I still get it in pop up menu's, I did these things,

1. Added a exception to the firewall for both local and public networks for
aom.exe
2. Re-set DEP properties for AOM.exe
3. Wrote a similar batch file for aom to kill explorer when running
4. Played around with the shader/device config packages so that all GMA
series chips use the geforce 3 package

One of these has reduced the black tearing dramatically, I havn't seen it
while actually playing the game yet for instance moving
unit, building, scrolling etc but It still apears to do it in menus and popup
descpitions and stuff although it isn't really a black tear anymore I would
say more of a strange inverted colors tear, any ideas? Oh yeah ill try and
get a screenshot of it for you guys to see.

Yeah I surpose, Its just i really like this game and want it working
properly, I had heaps of trouble getting age of empires 2 to work but in the
end it decided to work, I figured if this AOE2 will work AOM should but
yeah. Oh yeah btw for anybody who is having trouble with age of empires 2 on
win7 for instance mine was crashing and the ingame colors were all messed
up, the solution is to make a batch file to kill explorer when empires2.exe
is running and to restart it once its finished.
