me too, i get a very dark UI, but i managed to understand most of the parts by having a look at the original DXTweaker releases. i tried this one and there's only one thing i can say : IT DOES SOMETHING. and by it does something i mean it does cause a slight change in fps.
i tested a few options and ran the game on the same level, did the exact same thing, walked around the exact same parts of the map, and looked around what the character can see. by the way, i tested this with COD4.
