No I'm nearly certain that FC2 use the same version engine as crysis although heavily modified to work at a higher standard, ie more stability and performance and broader hardware support, not unlike what bethesda did with gamebryo when they made fallout 3, it uses the same gamebryo engine that oblivion does although its faster and has ACTUAL multicore optimization support unlike the oblivion engine.
