I would also imagine this file working for anyone that just uses a external monitor only. The way the driver is setup to use the main screen is that it reads info from the EEID (whatever its called) first. If it fails to find any information on it, it will then fallback to the main specs of that which Dalmation has.
The reason why I believe my older driver didn't work is because it had the LVDS port included, and not everyone who tried this driver has a laptop I imagine. So, i'd say everyone give this a try, if it doesn't work, then ill gladly make a customized one.
