Hmm...I don't really understand why I'm not seeing this performance boost as much as others though...
CS:S nor War3 were really affected in terms of performance. Heres literally exactly what I did so far 1. Reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate x86 Retail 2. Installed Alpha 945 Driver 3. Rebooted 4. Installed Chipset drivers 5. Rebooted 6. Installed Card Reader/PCMCIA 7. Installed Keyboard driver 8. Rebooted 9. Installed touchpad driver 10. Rebooted 11. Installed Scrybe 12. Rebooted 13. Installed SetPoint mouse software 14. Installed visual studio 2005 and 2008 SP1 redistributables 15. Updated direct x via web updater 16. Removed all optional windows features except media player, .net 3.5, and IE8 17. Rebooted 18. Configured some control panel apps 19. Ran Windows Update 20. Rebooted 21. Installed Google chrome, steam, xfire, CS:S, Gmod, and War3 Thats where I'm at now. The next game ill try is killing floor, which is downloading now from steam. I also happen to have a copy of AoE3 lying around so I might test that as well.
