The same reason nexon, creator of maplestory, started suing hacking sites like cheatengine. They cannot do the job them selves, so they sue anyone beating them at it. Nexon couldn't stop hackers, so they stopped people from releasing hacks as much as possible. Intel cannot make a basic fucking gfx chipset, so they sue anyone doing anything to make the shit better.
What I don't get is this. How can they sue for altering something that is free? We already payed for the hardware, the software is 100% free. That would be like mcdonalds suing people for adding ketchup to a burger, altering the flavor. Its just plain stupid, but they know it will work.
