Yeah, but to be realistic,the most part of women (I read somewhere)that they don't buy videogames or consoles, they wait for her boyfriends/friends/brothers to get the videogames and then they play.
However recently there are somethings like Boomerang Generation or "Solteros Parasitos" and there are many womans that fit the definition(btw I don't like the term). I mean most of people now don't get married young (In my country if you want to get married when you have some goods, like a house or apparment you will probably get married around 30-35 years therefore is common to live with your parents until that age meaning that you don't have to spent a lot of money on a house maintenance, food, etc. Even more some years ago having a car was very important (socially speaking)for example if you wanted to have a girl your chance of getting one realy on having a car (not always but it was important), nowadays you got less chance if you don't have a smartphone or other gadgets like that. The society is changing, as the gamers grown uo, the industry has grown up. Just look the difference between the games you used to play (if you're around my age one of your first contacts with games must be Mario Bros from NES) and some years ago silent hill, resident evil, grand theft auto, halo, half-life. Most of us are the gamer generation, but I really don't know where we are going, many new games don't give the hapinness that I felt when played some old games (megaman, street fighter, metroid, sonic, final fantasy) the industry of games has changed, so we evolve (and earn more money) or we conform with a console like the Wii (for casual gamers). Sorry for the long post (and my english) but it's a little comment about whats happening/happened and where we are. BTW I think that women are playing every time more and more, but probably we (the male gamers) freak they out because really we can't see a woman and be quiet XD.
