I recently decided to go try one out (MicroXP) and so far I'm quite impressed.
Everything seems snappier, even browsing in Chrome is fast now. Only problem I saw was installing some drivers. All my drivers wanted a certain file (pci.sys or something else .sys) which could be found on the MicroXP disc, but still I wonder why Windows didn't pick that up automatically. Also there is no windows update in MicroXP, so you either must DL updates manually, use Winzupdate inside Opera or firefox (idk what it is, I heard it as an alternative), or just deal without updates (which might even patch a needed file) But I have yet to test any games. World of Warcarft will be my first test whenever i get drivers going here. Now about Realtek, I recently heard about the Realtek X-Fi modded drivers found http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=362426 and aparantly, their way better then generic drivers. So I recommend those with Realtek HDA to try em out :p -- INTEL 9xx SOLDIERS SANS FRONTIERS To unsubscribe from this group, send email to intel9x-gaming+unsubscribegooglegroups.com or reply to this email with the words "REMOVE ME" as the subject.
