Hmm nice guide. I just keep my system clean by keeping stuff off it to
start wtih :p (My system rarely goes to only 20GB space left, I
usually reformat before that happens)

I reformat to test OS's mostly though. Longest time an OS has been on
my laptop was maybe 1-2 months and that was XP. When I test OS's, I
test one game, WoW lol. So far XP plays it the best. Mac OS X seemed
to play UT2K4 the best however.

If I decide to optimize up my system, heres the routine I go through.
- Clean browser cache
- Delete downloaded, unneeded files
- Uninstall anything I don't want
- Run Disc Cleanup (may want to add CCleaner here as well, I don't use
it though)
- Run Scan Disk (sometimes)
- Defrag with O&O 12 Pro, complete optimize method
- Scan for malware with avast free edition (rarely)
