Heres the best way to run Warcraft 3: 1. Download War3 RoC from blizzard's site using their downloader (if its legal) 2. Download TFT the same way 3. Install RoC and then TFT 4. Run TFT and update it 5. Profit, the game now runs without a CD without any trouble 6. Turn down graphic settings as you see fit (I just run with highest setting and 800x600) and add -swtnl if you want 7. Now play on battle.net and have pure profit.
If your copy is non-legal, and is based on the old disc's, you basically just install it the same way, patch it, follow the no-cd stuff IN THE PATCH NOTES, and then profit.
