If i remember correctly this is really not a problem, the problem here is probably you. My guess is that you are playing on a widescreen display and when you put in settings like 800x600 or 1024x768 which is 5:4 resolutions while you have a 16:10 it would have to stretch it to fit the screen but that option have been disabled. MB overrided that option to force it on to remove stretching. One workaround for you is to use a correct resolution for your screen or wait for an answer from MB.
