well...dopeman's release does work...too bad i can't even get passed the room i start in...as soon as the "FIRST" portal opens, the game CTD...of course i was playing with (MyPC_SuKS_PoRTaL) LOL...this is happening with the C2D :SSSSSS tried changing lots of "startup commands" nothing worked?!! this is wht i have:
"hl2.exe -game portal -dxlevel 81 +mat_forcehardwaresync 0 -window 800 -console -novid -refresh 120 -heapsize 1572864 -high -noforcemaccel - noforcemparms -noipx -nojoy" most of those commands disable the "not in use" stuff...heck i even put all the details/shadow/model to LOW...nothing works :S any idea?? coz i remember i played this game back in vista...ya sure it sucked but at least i was able to go thro it??!!!
