if your device is similar enough it should work, for instance if the
only variables between your device and the normal 945 are small things
like increased VRAM or slightly higher clock speed than compatibility
should be pretty much 100%, there are some 950 Drivers which work on
the x3100 because they are similar enough. and yes it will still be
very much effective.
