this is the reason why even if now there's a tool for addreg (IDAMT),
I prefer to add it manually (edit the registry directly).
well, but that's just me. okay now let's go to the problem.

- as far as I can remember, IDAMT were made to respond just *.exe
extension
- Aion use *.bin, so it's the same with my game Lineage II (L2.bin)...
oh well, they both came from the same NCSoft, so I'm not surprised
with that

so, there's 2 workaround that I know:
1. copy/rename (though I prefer copy) your Aion.bin and rename the
copied one into Aion.exe, then use IDAMT to add the exe
2. or, if you want it manually edit the registry, go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E968-
E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000
click the 0000, go to the right pane, add new REG_DWORD, write
~aion.bin, and make it value 1
(don't forget to always add tilda before the bin/exe names, and don't
worry about the alphabet. it's case-insensitive ^_^)

note
- you might find other subsection besides the 0000 above, that is like
below:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E968-
E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0001
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E968-
E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0002
but those are only used when you use your second device and/or third
(if any). it won't hurt if you also add the bin/exe here, but it's
just wasting time, I think. the 0000 is the important one

- registry can accept *.bin and/or *.exe, so don't worry to add
~some_program.bin (I myself add L2.bin into my registry). but one
thing to remember, adding ~aion.exe will only work if you run
aion.exe, and it goes the same with ~aion.bin will only work with
aion.bin. the safer way is to list them both on registry
