Meh, I'm mostly a fan of Unreal Engine 2.5 and Source, due to their
wide-spread system compatibility.

Unreal Engine 3 is a major system hog, but looks nice.

Source Engine, meh it's good for first person shooters, but I have yet
to see it for anything else. Source 2007 is great, Source 2009 takes
the system requirements up a bit, but still alright, Source 2010 (idk
if its actually called this, or if its still 2009 with updates) starts
to take the requirements up some more as well

IW Engine (engine used on MW1/2, WaW, Blk Ops), well, i hate how
bullets disappear when you die (shoot an RPG, die, rocket vanishes in
mid-flight), bullets like to hit anywhere (snipe at the legs and get a
headshot somehow), but it runs good on med-end hardware.

Illusion Engine (mafia 2), not quite low-end system friendly, but
looks great nonetheless
