It would have to, going simply through the line of thought that cpus and gpus process things differently, and even the most streamlined apps benefit from having dedicated schedulers for specific tasks. But I'm still rooting for better and cheaper separate components. I like cpus and gpus as I pick them, not shampoo with conditioner in a single package :) Just like if those mofo manufacturers spent a few dollars less in glow in the dark motherboard components and added a low end audio riser card with replaceable opamps instead of ALL the shitty onboard audio codecs that motherboards prices ranging from 5 to 1000 dollars :S
