dear good Sir/Ma'am/Miss, it's not like "945G chipset can handle 965 chipset", but it's because the drivers's link on the page given connected to "stock drivers" (official drivers written by Intel), and those stock drivers bundled 945 and 965 family into one package.
when the stock driver is being installed to computers with 945 chipset, it'll install the 945 part of the driver, and when it's being installed to computers 965 chipset, it'll install the 965 part of the driver. I hope the explanation can help you ^_^ On Nov 24, 8:11 pm, 0_0face <[email protected]> wrote: > While i'm still downloading Win7(thanks to those who helped..;}..) > i saw how awesome intel 965/X3100 with other playable fps games like > call of duty 4. > I came to this website: > > http://www.downloadatoz.com/driver/articles/intel-graphics-media-acce... > > and saw the "Download Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100 > Driver for Windows 7". > i said in the lower part."Please note: This two drivers are written > specifically for the desktop Intel 945G, 945GZ, 945GC, 945GT, 946GZ, > G965, Q963, Q965, G31, G33, G35, Q33, Q35, Express Chipsets and the > Mobile Intel 940GML, 943GML, 945GM, 945GME, 945GMS, GL960, GLE960, > GM965, GME965 Express Chipsets and will not function with any other > product." > > the thing that made me so curious is the word INTEL GMA 945G!!!!! > > so, is it possible that a intel 945g chipset can handle the 965 > chipset? i know it's not really that easy to understand but even for > me, it is hard to tell the > easiest way to explain this.. -- 9xx SOLDIERS SANS FRONTIERS
