About the video prob.. your pc should not have any problems to handle it... so weird..
This video problems occurs on my old pc which does not have pixel shader 2.0, but surprisingly it run with 3D-analyzer on my old PC by move all the movie file to other folder. So.. u may try to skip the movie by delete or move the movie files to run the game.
