That's easily solvable. Just enter BIOS setup, go to boot options and disable or lower usb devices priorities. But it shouldn't hang at boot because if the flash drive has no boot sectors, then it would be skipped and went to start windows. Can also be your hard drive, or the windows install. Try checking the disk for bad sectors and system file errors.
