Performance can actually be improved on the 915 from what I understand, just not to the epic proportions in which the 950 can. Did you know that the 915 is actually capable of running aero? Vista beta's full Aero interface would run flawlessly on a 915, unfortuantely support was dropped for the 915 when vista forbode XP mode drivers from accessing aero in RC and above.
