I personally stay away from performance "enhancing" apps... All my tweaks
are done at driver level (DNA-ATI drivers for my HD3200), and stuff that is
normally accessible by windows (registry, msconfig, gpedit, disabling
performance counters, fsutil, etc).

I do use CCleaner and Defraggler and those are pretty cool imo.
